WebTide Monthly Meetup: Visualizing Text Information With a Bit of Machine Learning

September 17 / 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Speaker: Jason Phillips, Web Resources Integration Analyst Senior, Office of Institutional Research and Assessment

  • Community meetings are for WebTide members only.

Sweet Home Food Bar will be served! Be sure to say thank you to Office of Institutional Research and Assessment for sponsoring lunch.

Jason Phillips from the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment will present a case study of a web-facing text visualization project built to aid in the exploration of a large set of survey comments. Along the way, he’ll give a brief introduction to the topic of machine learning and its uses, and will describe some of the simpler ways you can take advantage of publicly available tools to make sense of messy data.
