To ensure collaborative diversity, only 1 representative per any single organizational unit is reflected within the 6-member group.
Terms of service
Each community-nominated seat (4) has a two-year term of service. On a given year, half of these members (2) rotate off; this allows WebTide to benefit from a balance of fresh perspectives while maintaining leadership continuity year-to-year. Terms begin in January.
To replace outgoing community-nominated members, new nominations are accepted each fall. Those eligible must be:
active WebTide community members
employed within an organizational unit that is not already represented in the upcoming year’s coordinating group
Elections shall be held if:
there are more than 2 individuals nominated
multiple individuals are nominated who work within a single organizational unit
Liaison seats (2) are not elected, and are directly appointed by the leadership of OIT and Web Communications respectively. Their inclusion reflects our belief in the importance of collaboration and communication between the greater UA web community and institutional-level web service providers.
A maximum time commitment of 4-6 hours per month is to be anticipated.
We meet once monthly in addition to the regular third-Thursday “meetup” sessions. Monthly coordinating group meetings are open to all WebTide members.
