How to Join

If you work at The University of Alabama, and consider yourself a web professional, we’d love to welcome you to our community!

Becoming a member of WebTide means contributing to, and benefitting from, our community’s wide array of professional web skills, knowledge and experience. Our group is made up of designers, writers, coders, social media managers and more!

Members have access to all of our communication channels (listserv, Slack, etc.), resources, and receive invitations to all community gatherings which, at a minimum, include a meeting on the third Thursday of every month where we discuss topics ranging from social media to crisis communication. Request Membership

In order to join the WebTide community, you must be employed by The University of Alabama and you must be considered a web professional, i.e. you are a staff member who is primarily responsible for a university-affiliated web presence. Examples include web designers, web developers, website content managers, social media managers, web system administrators, and more. We also accept faculty members who teach about the web.

If you are unsure of whether or not you fit our guidelines, please feel free to fill out the form anyway and be sure to include as much information as possible. We are a pretty open community but not all applications will be accepted.
