WebTide Monthly Meetup: Tools & Resources from UA Web Teams – Homework Edition

Every year we devote a meetup to share and discuss the tools are in use in web groups across campus that help everyone efficiently run on all cylinders. This year however, as we all know, teamwork has become a very different picture.

No longer are we walking across halls for a quick confab, or sharing tips in conference rooms after a webinar. We now huddle onto Zoom, share code snippets on Slack and compare notes with workmates across intricately elaborate Microsoft Teams dashboards. All this while a dog is begging for their afternoon walk, the kids have crayoned a Picasso onto the living room television screen and a bread loaf burned in the oven half an hour ago. It is definitely a different world!

Nevertheless – our teams move forward. Task lists get checked. Meetings assemble. Sites glide down digital slipways and launch to their purpose of providing their mission of service to students, faculty, staff, and the general public. How? That answer looks different for almost every team across the University.

For this month’s WebTide meetup, we will have an open forum format for you to share what is working for your team, what challenges have presented themselves, and what tools have become indispensable over the last few months.

We may even learn how to get magenta crayon off an LCD panel.
